Let your customers design the product. Let your workshop make it.

Your customers change your product on your site: its size, its options, its colours. They see it in 3D as they go, order it at the right price, and your workshop receives the file it needs to cut or print that exact product.

How it works

  1. 1. We make a first version. You tell us what can change and how the price is worked out. We show you a first 3D version of your own product, with a fixed price for the build.
  2. 2. We build it. From your drawings, your price list or a configurator you already have. You review it, and we correct it. You do not need to learn any software.
  3. 3. It runs on your site. We host it. You add it to your product page with one short piece of code, or we do it for you. It works with Shopify, WooCommerce and Shopware, and on any other site with a quote request instead of a cart.

Your workshop gets STL or 3MF files for 3D printing, and DXF files for laser, plasma, waterjet and router cutting. Each one matches the exact product your customer ordered.

Multibuild

“Guillaume and Polygon built the live configurators that let the Multibuild community generate plates and parts in exactly the sizes they need, right in the browser. He took our messy geometry rules and turned them into tools thousands of makers rely on, and he was always quick to jump on bugs and feature requests.”

Questions

Can I buy my configurator and host it myself? +

Yes, after the first year. You buy it outright, and it runs on your own site with no monthly fee.

Do configurators really sell more? +

University research shows that people value what they design themselves. In an experiment with 717 people, those who designed their own watch online were willing to pay on average twice as much as for a standard watch of the same quality (Franke and Piller, 2004). The same held for T-shirts, scarves and phone covers (Schreier, 2006). And people offered over 40% more for a T-shirt they had designed than for the identical T-shirt off the shelf (Franke, Schreier and Kaiser, 2010).

These are prices people offered in experiments, not sales in a real shop.

Shop data points the same way. Shopify reported that products with AR content converted 94% better than products without (Harvard Business Review, 2020). On Rebecca Minkoff's store, visitors who turned a product in 3D were 44% more likely to add it to their cart, and 27% more likely to order (Shopify case study).
