The first configurator on polyreprint.com
The first configurator on polyreprint.com is live
A few weeks ago I mentioned that polyreprint.com would be the demonstration of Polygon for 3D printing. The first configurator is now live: Book End.
It demonstrate how to generate a book end, which helps your book stand nicely. It is built using the SDF modeling tools, which are very versatile, and have the advantage of being very fast. You’ll notice as you move the sliders that changes are instant.
Expect more configurators in the coming days. Halloween’s coming, I’ll take this opportunity to try some cool ideas.
A video intro to SDF modeling

Polygonjs 2.0.64 is out. It is mostly about 3D printing:
- Print orientation.
geo/PrintOrientturns a model the way it prints best, andgeo/PrintOverhangMeasureshows which faces would print over thin air. - Voronoi cells.
geo/VoronoiCellsandgeo/VoronoiFieldbreak a mesh into cells. - SDF fractals. Menger sponge, Mandelbulb, Julia sets and more.
- QR codes, as a shape or as a texture.
The full changelog has the details.
As always, tell me what you build, and what is missing. Reply to this email, or say hello in the Discord, Bluesky or Twitter.
