Subscriptions + models generated with AI
Polygonjs 2.0.61 is out.
Subscriptions
As recommended, I’ve added subscriptions to Polygon. This allows you to work with it fully without committing to a perpetual license. Using the editor and saving scene remains free. With subscriptions you can also:
- Export models, as STL, 3MF or glTF.
- Export your scene, as wasm+html+js, and upload it anywhere you want.
- Use the AI agent. It can read your scene, create nodes, connect them, anything you can do in polygon. Ask it to build a scene or just for advice.
- Generate models with AI, from a prompt for now, using images soon. This makes it much quicker to iterate.
The only thing to keep in mind is that a subscription is online only, so you can’t (yet) upload your own models/textures, or use your own AI provider, which you can with the downloaded app.
And using AI works with credits, included every month with the subscription. I’m still refining a fair usage, so bear with me while I work out the math, especially in this ever changing AI landscape.
See more details on the pricing page.
The perpetual license has not changed. It is still one payment for the desktop app and the SDK, with 12 months of updates, and it is still the offer if you want Polygon on your own machine with nothing metered. The two are sold separately.
The full changelog has the rest.
As always, tell me what you build, and what is missing. Reply to this email, or say hello in the Discord, Bluesky or Twitter.
