geo/Add

Points you type, one per position.

Topology

Creates up to eight points at the positions you type, or drag in the viewport. Connected to geo/CADCurve, they are the control polygon of a CAD curve; connected to geo/Line or geo/Curve, the corners of a polyline.

The points can be 2D or 3D. A 2D point has no third coordinate, so it lies in the plane of this object's own transform.

The precision says how many digits each point keeps. FLOAT32 is enough for anything you see on screen. FLOAT64 keeps every digit you type, which matters when the points feed a CAD curve that must be exact, such as a circle drawn far from the origin. Left at DEFAULT, 2D points are FLOAT64, since a 2D control polygon is usually drawn for a CAD curve, and 3D points are FLOAT32.

Parameters

Name Type What it does
dimension UInt8 _2D · _3D Whether the points are 2D or 3D. A 2D point has no third coordinate, and the plane it lies in is this object's own transform.
precision UInt8 DEFAULT · FLOAT32 · FLOAT64 How many digits each point keeps. DEFAULT is FLOAT64 for 2D points and FLOAT32 for 3D points. FLOAT32 is enough for anything you see on screen. FLOAT64 keeps every digit you type, for points that feed an exact CAD curve.
pointsCount UInt8 How many of the positions below to use. The rest are hidden.
position0 Vector3_64 A point. In 2D only x and y are read; the z stays in the param, so switching back to 3D restores the point.
position1 Vector3_64 A point. In 2D only x and y are read; the z stays in the param, so switching back to 3D restores the point.
position2 Vector3_64 A point. In 2D only x and y are read; the z stays in the param, so switching back to 3D restores the point.
position3 Vector3_64 A point. In 2D only x and y are read; the z stays in the param, so switching back to 3D restores the point.
position4 Vector3_64 A point. In 2D only x and y are read; the z stays in the param, so switching back to 3D restores the point.
position5 Vector3_64 A point. In 2D only x and y are read; the z stays in the param, so switching back to 3D restores the point.
position6 Vector3_64 A point. In 2D only x and y are read; the z stays in the param, so switching back to 3D restores the point.
position7 Vector3_64 A point. In 2D only x and y are read; the z stays in the param, so switching back to 3D restores the point.
