geo/SDFClip2D
Cuts 2D SDF objects with a line and keeps one side, or both.
Sdf Operations
Cuts each 2D SDF object with a line, placed by `origin` and `direction`, and keeps the side the direction points to, the other side, or both as two objects. It does what intersecting with a large geo/SDFBox2D does, without the box to size and place: the result's bounds are the input's, cut down to the kept side.
The cut edge can be rounded or chamfered with `profile` and `size`, which mean the same as on geo/SDFBoolean. Each object is cut on its own. Only 2D SDF objects are cut. Everything else passes through untouched, 3D SDF objects included: geo/SDFClip cuts those.
Parameters
| Name | Type | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| mode | UInt8 KEEP_ABOVE · KEEP_BELOW · KEEP_ALL | Which side to keep: the side the direction points to (above), the other side (below), or both as two objects. |
| origin | Vector2 | A point on the cutting line. |
| direction | Vector2 | Perpendicular to the line. It points to the side kept as above. Normalized on cook. |
| profile | UInt8 HARD · ROUND · CHAMFER | The shape of the cut corners. HARD leaves them sharp, ROUND fillets them, CHAMFER bevels them at 45 degrees. |
| size | Float | How far back from the corner the fillet or chamfer starts, measured along each side. |
