geo/SDFMenger
Creates an SDF Menger sponge.
Sdf Primitives
Creates a Menger sponge as SDF geometry: a cube with a square hole bored through the middle of each face, then the same holes at a third of the size through each of the smaller cubes left, and so on. Wire it to the geo/Output node to see it raymarched, or compose it with other SDF objects through geo/SDFBoolean, geo/SDFRepeat and geo/Transform. Dragging the params never recompiles the preview shader. Converting it with geo/SDFTriangulate works, but each level makes holes three times smaller, so the resolution needed to capture them grows fast.
Parameters
| Name | Type | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| t | Vector3 | Center of the sponge. |
| size | Float | Edge length of the cube the sponge is carved from. |
| iterations | UInt8 | How many levels of holes are carved. 0 is the plain cube, and each level adds holes a third of the size of the previous ones. |
