geo/SDFQuaternionJulia
Creates an SDF quaternion Julia set fractal.
Sdf Primitives
Creates a quaternion Julia set as SDF geometry: the 4D cousin of the 2D Julia set, found by repeatedly squaring a four-part number and adding a fixed one, shown as a 3D slice. The result is a smooth, lumpy body full of folds and tunnels. Change c to get a different set, and move w to slide the slice through the fourth dimension. Wire it to the geo/Output node to see it raymarched, or compose it with other SDF objects through geo/SDFBoolean and geo/Transform. Dragging the params never recompiles the preview shader. The distance is an estimate, so the raymarcher takes shorter steps around it.
Parameters
| Name | Type | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| t | Vector3 | Center of the set. |
| scale | Float | Overall size. At 1 the default set is about 2 units across. |
| c | Vector4 | The fixed number added at each step, which decides the shape. x is its real part; y, z and w its three imaginary parts. Values with a length below 1 give connected bodies; larger ones break up into dust. |
| w | Float | Where the 3D slice cuts the 4D set, along the fourth axis. Animate it to watch the shape morph. |
| iterations | UInt8 | How many steps each point is followed for. More steps reveal finer detail and cost more per sample. |
