tex/ChannelShuffle

Builds each channel of the image from any channel of it, from a channel of a second image, or from 0 or 1.

Color

Rearranges channels. For each of red, green, blue and alpha, choose where its value comes from: a channel of the image on the first input (IMAGE_RED to IMAGE_ALPHA), its brightness (IMAGE_LUMINANCE), the same from the second image (SECOND_RED to SECOND_LUMINANCE), or a constant (ZERO, ONE). Each channel can also be inverted, which turns a value into 1 minus that value.

A few things it does in one step: use another photo's brightness as this photo's alpha (alpha from SECOND_LUMINANCE), turn the red channel into a grey mask (red, green and blue all from IMAGE_RED), make an image opaque (alpha ONE), or invert its alpha.

The result has the size of the first image. The second image is optional, can be any size, and is stretched over the first; connect it only when a channel takes from it. If a channel takes from the second image and nothing is connected there, the node shows an error naming that channel. By default every channel comes from the same channel of the first image, so the node changes nothing until you set it. Brightness is measured on linear light, the way a filter's mask measures it.

Parameters

Name Type What it does
red UInt8 IMAGE_RED · IMAGE_GREEN · IMAGE_BLUE · IMAGE_ALPHA · IMAGE_LUMINANCE · SECOND_RED · SECOND_GREEN · SECOND_BLUE · SECOND_ALPHA · SECOND_LUMINANCE · ZERO · ONE Where the red channel of the result comes from: a channel or the brightness of the first image (IMAGE_*), of the second image (SECOND_*), or 0 or 1.
invertRed Bool Turns the red value into 1 minus that value.
green UInt8 IMAGE_RED · IMAGE_GREEN · IMAGE_BLUE · IMAGE_ALPHA · IMAGE_LUMINANCE · SECOND_RED · SECOND_GREEN · SECOND_BLUE · SECOND_ALPHA · SECOND_LUMINANCE · ZERO · ONE Where the green channel of the result comes from: a channel or the brightness of the first image (IMAGE_*), of the second image (SECOND_*), or 0 or 1.
invertGreen Bool Turns the green value into 1 minus that value.
blue UInt8 IMAGE_RED · IMAGE_GREEN · IMAGE_BLUE · IMAGE_ALPHA · IMAGE_LUMINANCE · SECOND_RED · SECOND_GREEN · SECOND_BLUE · SECOND_ALPHA · SECOND_LUMINANCE · ZERO · ONE Where the blue channel of the result comes from: a channel or the brightness of the first image (IMAGE_*), of the second image (SECOND_*), or 0 or 1.
invertBlue Bool Turns the blue value into 1 minus that value.
alpha UInt8 IMAGE_RED · IMAGE_GREEN · IMAGE_BLUE · IMAGE_ALPHA · IMAGE_LUMINANCE · SECOND_RED · SECOND_GREEN · SECOND_BLUE · SECOND_ALPHA · SECOND_LUMINANCE · ZERO · ONE Where the alpha of the result comes from: a channel or the brightness of the first image (IMAGE_*), of the second image (SECOND_*), or 0 or 1. SECOND_LUMINANCE uses the second image's brightness as this image's transparency.
invertAlpha Bool Turns the alpha into 1 minus that value: what was transparent becomes opaque.
